Hamaspik of Kings County, Inc., an independent member agency of New York State Hamaspik Association (NYSHA), is a non-profit organization providing essential health and human services for people with disabilities and their families. It has central offices in Williamsburg and Borough Park.
The mission and philosophy of Hamaspik agencies is inspired from the Hebrew meaning of the word, which translates to "Provider." Hamaspik of Kings County provides a variety of health and human services in a community setting, treating all individuals and their families with utmost respect and dignity, enabling them to make their own choices and enjoy the highest quality of life.
Incorporated over 20 years ago, the Hamaspik network operates group residences, Day Habilitation programs, HamaspikCare Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) and other social-services programs across the greater New York region, maintaining communities of integration and acceptance that serve thousands of families affected by disability.
Hamaspik of Kings County offers a broad range of programs including individualized goals, group and supportive home environments, family supports, home modifications, advocacy roles, early intervention, therapy, financial assistance, recreational activity, vocational opportunity, and religious and spiritual guidance.
