Cogency’s Clinical Integration Committee established a task focused Peer Integration workgroup. The workgroup is addressing the OASAS requirement, and Cogency Integrated Healthcare, IPA, LLC’s goal to assist agencies with integrating peer services into their programs. The workgroup is developing an education and training program to assist Cogency IPA agencies with peer services implementation.
As a result of the recently administered Peer Integration survey, a peer integration “101” orientation training developed and facilitated by Rob Anderson of Educational Alliance is being offered free to the Cogency Network. This training will provide a foundational knowledge of peer services integration and a rationale for how peer services can benefit your agency.
The training is targeted to CEOs, Directors and Supervisors and will be held on March 11, 2020 at Educational Alliance’s Center for Recovery and Wellness from 10:30 am -1:30 pm. Topics will range from financing and billing for peer services to recruiting and onboarding peers and supervisory requirements. The Center is located at 25-29 Avenue D, New York, NY 10009.
Peers are a very important component of recovery services and the successful engagement of clients. Peers are also featured in the pilot Cogency IPA is currently developing with HealthFirst.
We strongly encourage you and your designated staff to attend this in-person training on March 11th. Please click here to register you and any other staff who will be attending. Thank you in advance for your participation and ongoing support.
